A massive multinational search and rescue operation is currently active after two U.S. Army soldiers went missing on Saturday, May 2, 2026, during the “African Lion” military exercises in Morocco.

The soldiers were reportedly on a recreational hike near the sea cliffs of the Cap Draa Training Area, situated outside the southern city of Tan Tan, when they disappeared.
