The suspect’s afternoon began with a series of criminal acts prior to the fatal confrontation:
- Initial Crash: The individual crashed a stolen vehicle on Highway 66.
- Multiple Attempts: After fleeing the crash on foot, he unsuccessfully tried to hijack several cars at a nearby gas station.

The Confrontation
