Four Killed, Ten Wounded in Suspected Targeted Attack at Stockton Family Gathering

STOCKTON, CA — Four people were killed and ten others injured in a devastating shooting that took place during a family gathering at a commercial banquet hall in Stockton, Northern California, on Sunday.

The violence unfolded at a child’s birthday party on Lucile Avenue, an event packed with families and children. Assailants entered the venue and opened fire, leaving 14 people struck by gunfire, including both adults and juveniles, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency crews rushed the wounded to local hospitals; however, officials have yet to release updates on their conditions.

Investigators are operating under the suspicion that the shooting may have been a targeted strike. Detectives are working through the night to gather evidence and identify a motive. As of the latest updates, no arrests have been made, and the authorities have not specified how many gunmen were involved.

The Governor’s office confirmed that Gavin Newsom has been briefed on the tragedy, while local officials are pushing for answers as the investigation continues.
