STOCKTON, CA — Four people were killed and ten others injured in a devastating shooting that took place during a family gathering at a commercial banquet hall in Stockton, Northern California, on Sunday.

Assailants entered the venue and opened fire, leaving 14 people struck by gunfire, including both adults and juveniles, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews rushed the wounded to local hospitals; however, officials have yet to release updates on their conditions.
Investigators are operating under the suspicion that the shooting may have been a targeted strike. Detectives are working through the night to gather evidence and identify a motive.
