Medical Examiner’s Findings

Following his arrest on April 16, 2026, David Burke faces several felony counts:

  1. First-Degree Murder: Includes special circumstances such as “lying in wait” and “killing a witness.”
  2. Continuous Sexual Abuse: Relating to allegations of an illegal relationship with the minor.
  3. Mutilation of Remains: Concerning the treatment of the victim’s body after death.

The Prosecution’s Case

Authorities allege that the victim was killed in April 2025 after threatening to reveal the relationship, which prosecutors claim Burke sought to hide to protect his career. The remains were discovered months later after a foul odor was reported from his impounded Tesla.

Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His legal team continues to maintain his innocence as he remains held without bail pending trial.
