The violence erupted around 1:00 a.m. during a student-organized pub night at the Lions Den Pub and Grill.

A Community Mourns Dane Nisbet

Dane Nisbet was a respected figure in the local sports scene, known for his time on the ice with several Junior hockey programs, including:

  • The Mooretown Flags (Junior C)
  • The Sarnia Legionnaires
  • The North Middlesex Stars

Described by former coaches and managers as a “likeable and hardworking young man,” Nisbet was reportedly on the verge of beginning a new chapter of service with the Canadian Armed Forces.

Campus Impact and Support

In the wake of the tragedy, Lambton College suspended all classes and closed the campus to provide space for grieving. The administration has deployed mental health resources and counseling services for students and staff affected by the “senseless act of violence.”
