How to Claim Your Money
- Deadline: Submit your claim by July 8, 2026.
- Website: File officially at www.kcupsrecyclingsettlement.ca.
- Payment: Choosing e-transfer is free; opting for a physical cheque will cost you a $3.75 processing fee deducted from your total.
Why the Settlement?
While Keurig marketed the pods as recyclable, the Competition Bureau found the pods are often rejected by sorting facilities due to their small size and coffee ground contamination. Beyond the cash payout, Keurig must now update its packaging to warn consumers that the pods are “Not Recycled in Many Communities.”
