Former PNB Officer and a Private Person Sentenced to Jail in a case of Bribery

Judge, CBI, Court No. 04, Lucknow today i.e. 05.06.2025 sentenced two accused namely, Bhupinder Singh Bhatiyani, the then Officer (Scale-I), PNB, Usmanpur Branch, Barabanki to 3 years Rigorous Imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 1,10,000/- and .Nitin Tiwari, a private person with 06 months SI and fine of Rs. 10,000/-.in a case of bribery
CBI had registered the instant case on 08.10.2013 against accused Bhupinder Singh Bhatiyani, on allegations that the accused demanded an illegal gratification of Rs. 5,000/- from the complainant for enhancing the KCC Loan limit from existing Rs. 35,000/- to Rs. 75,000/-.
After investigation, Charge sheet was filed by CBI on 07.12.2013 against accused Bhupinder Singh Bhatiyani, the then Officer (Scale-I), PNB, Usmanpur Branch, Barabanki and Nitin Tiwari, Private person.
The Court, after trial, convicted the accused persons and sentenced them to imprisonment.
