According to local police, the incident occurred around 1:25 a.m. in the Port-Alfred sector. Reportedly, Tremblay’s vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a fence near a railway line, eventually becoming immobilized in a snowbank.
While no injuries were reported, responding officers administered breathalyzer tests. The results indicated:

- François Jacques (Chief Government Whip): Described the situation as “extremely serious” and confirmed that the party is currently evaluating Tremblay’s future within the caucus.
