Trump Warns Iran: Nuclear Deal or “Worse” Strikes to Come

He stated that without a deal, Israel’s attacks on Iranian military and nuclear facilities “will only get worse.”
In his first public comments since Friday’s strikes, Trump posted on Truth Social, “There is still time to make this slaughter, with the next already planned attacks being even more brutal, come to an end.” He claimed to have given Iran “chance after chance to make a deal,” but they “just couldn’t get it done.” He warned, “I told them it would be much worse than anything they know…Israel has a lot of [U.S.-made equipment], with much more to come — and they know how to use it.” Trump also asserted that “certain Iranian hardliners spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!”
“Operation Rising Lion” Targets Key Iranian Facilities
Israel launched Operation Rising Lion on Friday, specifically targeting Iran’s nuclear, missile, and military infrastructure. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed the operation as “a very successful opening strike,” confirming that targets included Iran’s main nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz, leading nuclear scientists, and ballistic missile infrastructure. He described Iran’s nuclear and missile programs as an “existential threat.”
High-Profile Casualties and Mossad’s Role
Iranian officials confirmed the deaths of several key figures in the strikes, including Iranian Army Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Hossein Salami, and Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the Guard’s missile program. Two top nuclear scientists and other IRGC members were also reportedly killed.
According to The Associated Press, Israeli security officials revealed that Israel’s Mossad spy agency was instrumental, smuggling weapons into Iran to support the strikes. They reportedly established a base inside Iran to launch explosive drones that targeted missile launchers near Tehran.
Iran Vows “Severe Punishment”
In response to the attacks, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed “severe punishment” for Israel. He stated that Israel “opened its wicked and blood-stained hand to a crime in our beloved country, revealing its malicious nature more than ever by striking residential centers.” Following these statements, Iran launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks on Israel.
