“I think Hamas has been agreeing to things that are very important,” President Trump said on Monday, expressing confidence that a “lasting deal” is possible.

The talks, mediated by the US, Egypt, and Qatar, involve delegations from Israel and Hamas. Both sides have reportedly consented to some proposals in the Trump administration’s plan, notably including the release of hostages and the provision of humanitarian aid for Palestinians.

When questioned about possible “red lines” for Hamas, Trump affirmed that a deal would be off the table if “certain things aren’t met.”

Trump Denies Dispute with Netanyahu

The President dismissed reports from Axios that he had privately criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for being too “f***ing negative” about Hamas’s partial response to the peace plan.

“No, it’s not true,” Trump stated, adding, “He’s been very positive on the deal.” The disputed report claimed Trump told Netanyahu, “I don’t know why you’re always so f***ing negative. This is a win, take it,” after the Prime Minister allegedly called Hamas’s response “nothing to celebrate.”

The White House confirmed that Trump’s team, including special envoy Steve Witkoff and senior adviser Jared Kushner, is working quickly to finalize an acceptable framework. The Israeli delegation includes officials from Mossad and Shin Bet, while the Hamas team is led by senior official Khalil al-Hayya.
