Inside the Clubhouse
- Pitch Counts: Expect a short leash. Manager DeRosa emphasized that “guardrails” (strict pitch limits) are in place to ensure all pitchers return to their MLB clubs healthy for Opening Day.
- A Brief Appearance for Skubal: Unlike Webb, who plans to stay for the full tournament, Tarik Skubal is scheduled for only one start before returning to Tigers’ camp.
- The Skenes Preview: Before the tournament officially begins, Paul Skenes will get a tune-up start this Tuesday in an exhibition game—ironically facing off against Webb’s San Francisco Giants.
