Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump recently had a public exchange on social media, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening the India-US relationship.
The conversation began with President Trump’s post on Truth Social, where he announced that the US and India were continuing negotiations to address trade barriers. He expressed confidence that a successful conclusion would be reached and said he looked forward to speaking with his “very good friend, Prime Minister Modi.”
In response, PM Modi posted on “X” (formerly Twitter), highlighting that the trade negotiations would “pave the way to unlock ‘limitless potential’ of the India-US partnership.” He referred to India and the US as “close friends and natural partners” and also stated that he was looking forward to speaking with President Trump soon.
This is the second time the two leaders have engaged in such a public exchange in recent days, following a previous conversation where President Trump said he would always be friends with PM Modi.
