RECALL ALERT: 32 Degrees Heated Socks Sold at Costco

Costco has issued a major recall for over 200,000 pairs of 32 Degrees Heated Socks following reports of users suffering first- and second-degree burns. If you purchased these for the winter season, here is what you need to know.

The Hazard

The socks can overheat, particularly during high-intensity activities like skiing or snowboarding where moisture and pressure are present. There have been 14 reported incidents, including 13 cases of burns.

Identify Your Pair

Check your socks or purchase history for the following details:

  • Brand: 32 Degrees (32° HEAT)
  • Colors: Black
  • Sizes: M, L, and XL
  • Item Numbers: 1872150, 1913659, 1913660, and 1913661
  • Sold: Between August 2025 and March 2026 at Costco warehouses and online.

Required Action

  1. Stop Use Immediately: Do not wear or power on the socks.
  2. Return to Costco: Take the product to any Costco warehouse for a full refund.

Note: Even if your socks haven’t caused issues yet, the CPSC advises immediate discontinuation of use due to the burn risk.
