This facility will produce the Wheeled Armoured Platform (WhAP), a versatile combat vehicle designed by TASL in collaboration with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The WhAP is an eight-wheel-drive vehicle capable of navigating both land and water, and it offers advanced protection against ballistics and mines.

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to inaugurate the facility during his two-day visit to the North African nation from September 22 to 23. The opening of this plant marks a major milestone, solidifying India’s growing global footprint and establishing it as a credible player in the international defense market.
