The visit, running from October 27 to 31, successfully built on Hong Kong’s momentum from earlier visits to Dubai, reinforcing the city’s role as a vital “bridge” connecting the world with the Mainland and driving global tech collaboration.

Strategic Partnerships and Green Tech Focus

The delegation’s main goal was to promote Hong Kong’s vibrant I&T ecosystem, scout for investment opportunities, and forge partnerships for R&D and market expansion. The efforts quickly paid off:

  • i2Cool Seals MoU: The passive cooling tech pioneer, i2Cool, secured a major win by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MADAR Building Materials Company. This partnership is set to introduce their electricity-free cooling paint technology into the regional construction sector, marking a significant step for sustainable building in the Middle East.
  • Westwell Champions Sustainability: Westwell Technology, specializing in automated new energy solutions, showcased Hong Kong’s commitment to green tech. Yang Ming, CEO of Westwell Holdings (Hong Kong), delivered a presentation at FII9 on “Sailing to a more Sustainable Future of AI and Renewable Energy,” detailing how AI and clean energy can transform the global logistics industry. The company already operates in 28 countries, including the Middle East.

Expanding Hong Kong’s Global Tech Network

HKSTP’s ongoing efforts to assist its Park companies in exploring international markets are opening a new chapter for Hong Kong’s I&T development.

This visit to the Future Investment Initiative, a premier global gathering of political, business, and investment leaders, has established closer collaborative ties, firmly expanding Hong Kong’s global cooperation network in a high-growth region.
