- Toronto (TDSB/TCDSB): Buses returned to service today, but the Toronto Student Transportation Group reported over 140 routes facing delays. Many students saw wait times ranging from 10 to 60+ minutes due to icy side streets and lingering freezing drizzle.
- Halton: A partial disruption occurred today with all transportation cancelled in Zone 1 (south of Hwy 407).
- Peel & York: Most buses were operational today, though local delays were common.
- Hamilton: After a full closure on Wednesday, HWDSB schools and buses resumed operations today.
Friday, Feb 20: “Round Two” Incoming
Meteorologists are tracking another messy system set to hit the GTA tomorrow.
- The Forecast: A 70% chance of rain/snow mix on Friday morning. While temperatures are expected to hover around $4\text{°C}$ to $6\text{°C}$, a morning transition period could bring additional freezing drizzle or slushy accumulations.
- Cancellation Alerts: Transportation consortia will begin posting Friday morning status updates at 6:00 AM.
