Key Legal Actions and Investigation

In a swift response to the killing, a Dhaka court on Sunday issued a formal travel ban against the prime suspect, Faisal Karim Masud. Investigators believe Masud is the shooter responsible for the fatal attack.

The Assassination Timeline

1. The Ambush: While Hadi was traveling in a battery-powered auto-rickshaw, two assailants on a motorcycle pulled alongside and shot him in the head at point-blank range.
2. Critical Care: Initially treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital for severe brain stem damage, he was transferred to Singapore General Hospital on December 15.
