The 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme is set to be credited on August 2nd. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the funds from Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency.
Who Gets It?
Eligible farmers will receive ₹2,000 directly into their bank accounts. This is part of the annual ₹6,000 provided in three installments under the scheme. To ensure you receive your payment, make sure:
- e-KYC is complete: This is absolutely mandatory. No e-KYC, no funds.
- Aadhaar is linked to your bank account: Your Aadhaar must be correctly linked for the payment to go through.
- Land records are accurate: Errors in details like your state or district can delay payments, so double-check them.
If you have any errors in your land details, you can fix them using the ‘State Transfer Request’ option on the PM-Kisan portal or by visiting a Common Service Centre (CSC).
How to Check Your Status
It’s easy to check if you’re on the list or to see your payment status:
- Go to the official PM-Kisan website: [Visit: https://pmkisan.gov.in]
- Click on ‘Know Your Status’ or ‘Beneficiary List.’
- Enter your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number.
- Complete the OTP verification.
