Arrest Made Following Vandalism of James Bulger’s Grave

A 78-year-old man from Kirkby has been arrested following reports of vandalism and theft at the grave of James Bulger in Kirkdale Cemetery.

The damage was discovered at approximately 1:20 PM on Friday, April 10. Following a rapid investigation by Merseyside Police, the suspect was taken into custody at 4:10 PM that same afternoon.

Temporary Detective Inspector Viki Lanceley confirmed the arrest, stating that the department is providing ongoing support to James’s family as the investigation continues.
