Altercation in Downtown Montreal Leaves Senior Hospitalized

A violent confrontation in the heart of the Ville-Marie borough late Friday night has left a 67-year-old man recovering from serious injuries. The incident occurred on Woolf Street, just off Sainte-Catherine Street East, a typically busy corridor in downtown Montreal.

From Words to Violence What began as a verbal dispute between two men quickly took a dark turn. According to the SPVM, the argument escalated until a 56-year-old suspect allegedly struck the victim in the upper body using a blunt object.

Emergency Response and Recovery First responders found the victim lying in the roadway and rushed him to a nearby trauma center. While he was initially listed in critical condition, medical staff confirmed Saturday morning that he has stabilized. Thankfully, he is expected to survive.
