• The Pickup: Around 1:00 AM on November 27, Sekhon picked up the victim from a bar. Authorities state the woman was heavily intoxicated and unable to care for herself.
• The Assault: Investigators allege that although the ride was officially marked as “completed” in the app, Sekhon did not drop the victim off. Instead, he reportedly continued driving around Camarillo and assaulted the woman while she was unconscious.
• The Arrest: Following a probe by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Sexual Assault Unit, Sekhon was taken into custody on December 15.

Sekhon, a resident of Bakersfield, appeared in court for his arraignment where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of raping an unconscious person.
