A shooting incident at Kentucky State University (KSU) resulted in one fatality and one person being critically injured.

The university was immediately placed on lockdown by a joint effort from campus police, Frankfort police, and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
About an hour after the initial call, officials confirmed that one person was deceased, and another had been transported to the hospital in “stable but critical condition.”
Authorities later confirmed a suspect was taken into custody. The identity of the suspect and the motive for the shooting have not yet been released by officials.
