The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has extended its property tax amnesty scheme, SUNIYO 2025-26, for three months, until December 31.

Scheme Success So Far
Since its launch on June 1, the SUNIYO scheme has driven a significant increase in tax compliance:
- Taxpayers Participated: 1.16 lakh
- Revenue Generated: ₹370.27 crore
- New Taxpayers: 65,874 contributed ₹187.8 crore, paying tax for the first time.
Overall Financial Impact
MCD’s total property tax collection for the current financial year (2025-26) now stands at ₹2,111.63 crore from 11.63 lakh taxpayers, representing a 22.5% increase in revenue and 18% growth in the taxpayer base compared to the same period last year.
