CBI Court Sentences former Manager NHAI to Four years Imprisonment in DA case

The Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Jodhpur has convicted  and sentenced Shri Surender Kumar Soni, the then Manager (Technical), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Chittorgarh, Rajasthan to four years of Imprisonment  with a fine of ₹41,65,000/- in a Disproportionate Assets case.

CBI had registered the  instant case on 30.07.2013 against Shri Surender Kumar Soni, the then Manager (Technical), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Chittorgarh, Rajasthan for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, during his tenure as Manager (Technical), NHAI, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.

After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed by CBI on 18.12.2014 against the accused before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Jodhpur. The Hon’ble Court found that the accused had 116% more assets than his known sources of income.

After the trial, the Court convicted the accused on 14.07.2025 and sentenced him accordingly.
