8th Pay Commission: Could Your Minimum Salary Jump to ₹33,000?
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Good news might be on the horizon for Central Government employees! The 8th Pay Commission could significantly boost minimum salaries, potentially raising them from the current ₹18,000 to around ₹33,000 per month. This would be a substantial ₹15,000 increase.
This exciting projection comes from a Kotak Institutional Equities (KIE) report, which anticipates the upcoming pay panel recommending a fitment factor of 1.8. This factor essentially acts as a multiplier, and if applied, it would translate to an impressive 13% real-term pay hike over current salaries. For context, the 7th Pay Commission had recommended a fitment factor of 2.57, leading to a 14.3% real wage increase.
